Improvisational Play

Theater games are the building blocks of Improvisation.

During a game of Improv, players are given a short-term objective that can only be met through social interaction and the shared reality of the players.

Through use of humor, students experience two perspectives: the players and the audience members.

While participating in an Improv game, students gain experience building skills including self-acceptance, self-confidence, self-advocacy, self-motivation, and self-assessment.

The structured format provides opportunities for students to practice being flexible and make compromises.

Enter Laughing is a space for students to feel safe taking risks and not worry about making mistakes. With instructor as well as peer feedback, many students are able to develop a greater awareness of how they are presenting to others, both in their verbal as well as their non-verbal communication.

Come build confidence with each laugh!
